Parenting Tips – Have a Toilet Training Party

If you’re looking for a unique and creative way to potty train your child, consider having a toilet training party. This is an excellent way to encourage your child to use the potty in a fun way. It gives them something they can look forward to and it builds confidence that they will carry throughout their lives. Having a toilet training party can be a great way to help encourage your child to use the potty. While it’s not something that you would normally think about being celebrated in the form of a party, it is an important milestone for your child and it’s essential that you give your child the right start. Making it fun like a party decreases pressure and creates more of a positive experience around the training process, making it easier for your child to learn. Here are some ideas for your toilet training party: · Use a doll or stuffed toy as a way to show your child how to use the toilet. · Put a pair of underwear or training pants on the doll/animal and place the doll on the potty or toilet. · Gather party objects such as hats, streamers, blowers and other goodies (but no sweets or candies). · Then the doll has finished using the potty, celebrate with a big party. Shout, dance, cheer, sing, and blow the blowers. · Do this several times and allow your child to help the doll urinate and use the potty. Then invite your child to celebrate with you. · Then ask your child if she wants to participate in the toilet party. Don’t nag but offer it often. If your child says no, don’t make a big deal out of it. · Once your child agrees to do it, make a big deal over it just like you did with the doll. Throw a big party each time she is successful. The main point of the potty party is to keep the experience positive for your child. If she has an accident, treat it matter-of-factly and just clean it up and allow her to pick new undies. Watch your child closely so you can take her when needed and take her at regular intervals whether she thinks she has to go or not. Always keep it positive and avoid body language that indicates that you are upset with your child. When you create a safe environment, it will be much easier for your child to learn this important milestone. Role of Parents and Teachers in Child’s Development

A child has a distributed time for school and home thus he is distributed amongst parents and teachers. We can say that parents and teachers play a very important role in shaping child’s future. Education is basically a process that leads to mental and psychological growth of a child. Apart from leaning the academics a child learns various other things like team work, table manners, sharing, unity, teamwork. A school is a form of institute for a child; some say parents are the first teacher for the child however I feel teachers are the second parents for children. Since kindergarten a child is handed over to the teachers and teachers nourish him and bestow him with the love support and good habits.

Parents on the other hand are responsible for the overall development of the child; they play a very important role in the socializing process of the child. Right from the bed time stories to the behavioral habits parents play a very important role in making a child a responsible citizen. A successful teacher always has a keen ear on parents. Such teacher normally asks the parents about the behavior of the child, his habits and activities and behaves accordingly to him; she is responsible for his growth and development and thus tries to bring out the best in him. She is always alert with the cultures and family values of the child and thus tries not commenting or passing any judgment on the parenting styles. She thinks widely and makes sure that at any moment she may not hurt the mind of the child. Communication is best medium to solve problems. A successful teacher is always ardent at talking to the students and solving their problems, she is always approachable by almost every child of the class. Instead of blaming the child for not completing particular thing or being incapable of working on particular project or achieving bad grades she tries to find out the reason behind child’s failure or incompetency.

Educational Toys – Computer Learning Games

Kids love video games, but most such games have little or no educational value and many even glorify violence. So it’s no surprise that parents often put severe limits on the types of games their kids can play and how often and long they can play them.

That’s not to say that all video games are bad. Many educational toy makers and children’s book publishers have used the popularity of video games to their advantage and created educational computer games. Kids find these fun and entertaining and adults like them because they teach kids new things and reinforce what they are learning in school.
